practise是“practice”的变体，只能做动词，其名词为practice，在美语中这个词无论用作动词还是名词都拼成practice，意思是“练习; 实习; 执业” 。第三人称单数：practises 现在分词：practising 过去式：practised 过去分词：practised
1、为了做好某件事而“练习”，意思就是练习 。
Lauren practises the piano every day. 劳伦每天练习钢琴 。
When she wanted to get something right, she would practise and practise and practise.
她想做好一件事的时候,就会练习、练习、再练习 。
2、指风俗、手艺或宗教等，“练习、参于”其活动 。

今天我们来讲讲误导我们多年的 ， practice 和practise,看看他们到底是什么区别 ， 有什么特点，又有哪些是我们不知道的 。其实英语有两类，有美式英语，也有英式英语 。那么问题来了，practice,practise 是英式英语还是美式英语呢?
在英式英语当中，practice 只能是名词，它的动词形式是practise.作为名词practice 意思是练习的意思，不可数名词 。如 do some practice.做些练习 。practise作为动词时，后面直接接宾语，或者动名词，如 practise the piano练习钢琴/practise speaking English.练习说英语 。
但是在美式英语中，practice 既可以作为名词也可以作为动词 。作为名词时也是不可数名词 。作为动词时，用法和practise 是一样的，我就不重复了 。希望这些对大家有帮助 。

2Practice的用法practise用作及物动词时后面可接名词、动名词，不能接不定式 。practise的基本意思是“练习”、“训练”，也可用来表示“实行”和“开业从事于” 。
