such的用法
such是形容词，它所修饰的名词可以是可数名词，也可以是不可数名词;名词前面可以带形容词 ， 也可以不带 。如果其后是单数可数名词，前面需加不定冠词a或an 。
1.such+a(n)(+adj.)+单数可数名词+that从句 。
She is such a good teacher that all of us love and respect her.
她是一位很好的老师 ， 我们都敬爱她 。
Table tennis is such an interesting game that people all over the world play it.

2.such(+adj.)+复数可数名词+that从句 。
They are such interesting books that I want to read them once more.

1. so…that用于以下四个句型：
so+形容词/副词+that…
so+形容词+a/an+单数可数名词+that…
so+ many(多) / few(少) +复数可数名词+that…
so+ much(多) /little(少) +不可数名词+that…
This teacher is so kind that we all like him. 这个老师非常和谒，我们都喜欢他 。
He ran so quickly that we all couldn’t catch up with him. 他跑得很快，我们都追不上他 。
This is so interesting a book that we all enjoy reading it. 这本书非常有趣，我们都喜欢看 。
He has so many books that I can’t count them. 他有很多书，我数也数不清 。
There was so much food that we couldn’t eat it all. 食物太多了 ， 我们吃不完 。
I have so little money that I cannot afford a car. 我的钱太少，买不起车 。
注：若little表示“小”时，要用such 。如：

such 和 so 两个单词意思相近，都表示“如此，这样，这么”的意思，使用时
很容易混淆 。
1、such 是形容词 ， 修饰名词;而 so 是副词，修饰形容词、副词和分词 。
如：
(1)I have never seen such a beautiful place before.我以前从来没有看到
过这么美的地方 。
Such 修饰的中心词是 place, 虽然中间有一个形容词 beautiful, 但它只是用来
修饰后面的名词 place 的 。
(2)Last time I saw him，he was so fat! 上次我见到他的时候，他是那么
的胖 。
fat 是形容词，前面用 so 修饰 。
(3)He ran so fast that I couldn’t catch up with him. 他跑得这么快，我
都追不上他 。
本句的 fast 是副词，它修饰动词 fast，所以前面用 so 而不用 such.

2、such 后面接名词时，名词既可以是可数名词，也可以是不可数名词，既可
用单数名词 ， 也可用复数名词，名词前既可以有形容词，也可以没有形容词 。
如：
(1)Why are you in such a hurry? 你为什么如此匆忙?(such+名词单
数)
(2)Such things often happen in our daily life.这样的事情在我们的日常生
活中经常发生 。(such+名词复数)
(3)I have never seen such a tall man.我从来没见过个子这么高的人 。
(such+形容词+名词单数)
(4)He made such stupid mistakes that the teacher tore up the whole
paper.他犯了如此愚蠢的错误，以至于老师把整个试卷都给撕了 。(such+形
容词+名词复数)
注意: 这种情况千万不要以为是 such 后面接了形容词，它接的中心词是
mistakes,仍然是名词 。
(5)Did you ever see such weather? 你见过这样的天气吗?(such+不可
数名词)
(6)You can’t drink such hot milk.你不能喝这么烫的牛奶 。(such+形
容词+不可数名词)


从上面的例子看得出来，such 后面只要有名词作为中心词，不管这个名词前有
没有形容词，也不管名词是不是单数 ， 全部都用 such 修饰，不用 so.
3、such 与可数名词单数连用时，要放在 a、an 之前而不是之后 。例如，我们
要表达“我有一本这样的书”：
(1)I have a such book. (错误)
(2)I have such a book. (正确)
4、当 such 前面有 no 时，后面的单数名词前必须省去不定冠词 a(an)，
如：
(1)I have no such a book. 我没有这样的书 。(错误)
(2)I have no such book.(正确，它相当于：I don't have such a book.)
5、形容词修饰单数名词时，如果将形容词放在 a 或 an 之前，则它的前面用
so 修饰而不用 such，如：
He is such a clever boy.=He is so clever a boy.(他是个如此聪明的孩子)
6、当名词之前有 few，many，little ，much 修饰时，只能用 so，而不用
such，如：
(1)so many people 这么多的人
(2)so few students 这么少的学生
(4)so little time 这么少的时间
注意：上述词组中的 so 实际上修饰名词前的形容词 。比较下列两句：
①I have met many such people in my life.我生活中遇到过许多这样的人 。
②I didn't expect to meet so many people there.我没料到会在那里遇到这
么多的人
上述两句中都有 many，但却分别用了 such 和 so，其位置不同 ， 因此含义也
不同 。在①中 ，  many 和 such 同时修饰后面的名词;而②句中的 so 修饰的
则是 many 。
7、such 可以和 all 、some、other 、another 、one、no、any、
several 等词同时修饰一个名词，但它的位置通常是放在这些词的后面，如：
(1)All such possibilities must be considered.所有这样的可能性都必须被
考虑到 。
(2)I need some such cards. 我需要一些这样的卡片 。
(3)One such dictionary is enough for me. 一本这样的词典对我而言就足
够了 。
(4)We have had several such Chinese paintings already. 我们已经有了
几幅这样的中国画了 。
(5)I hope never to meet with another such accident.我希望再也不要遇
到另外一个这样的事故 。
8、So ? ? that 意为“如此 ??以至于 ??” ， 是一个常见句型，但如果后面是名
词，则短语要变成 such…that，如：
(1)Jane' s leg was so painful that she couldn't move at all.简的腿那么
疼, 以至于根本动不了.(so 后面中心词是形容词 painful)
(2)Mike is such a clever boy that all like him. 麦克是这么聪明的一个男
孩, 大家都喜欢他.(such 后面中心词是名词 boy)
9、so 可与动词(如：say, tell, think, believe, suppose，hope 等)连
用 ， 替代一个意义完整的宾语从句，而 Such 不能修饰动词 。如：
-Is she a top student in her class?她是她们班最好的学生吗?
-Yes, I think so./ I hope so. 是的，我认为是这样 。/ 我希望是这样 。
10、so 可以构成倒装句，表示“某人也是”这样的的意思，它的结构是：So
+ be/ 其他助动词/ 情态动词+主语 。Such 无此用法 。
-I usually go to bed late. 我通常很晚才睡觉
-So do I. 我也是.
11、so 也可以用作形容词，但只能放在系动词后面用作表语 ， 表示“是这样
的，是真的” 。如：
The newspapers claim she killed him in self defense，but that just
isn't so.报纸上说她是出于自卫才杀了他的，但事实并非如此 。
12、such 还可以用作代词，用来作主语、宾语，so 没有这种用法 。如：
Such is the influence of TV that it can make a person famous overnight.

我们可以把so和副词连用 。

3.So +感叹词中的判断形容词
我们可以用“so”与判断性形容词连用来强调，尤其是在感叹词中 。

4.So不与名词连用 。
但是如果我们在名词或名词前使用量词(much/many/few/little)，我们可以在这些名词前使用so 。
在这种情况下 ， 我们可以把“so”与“复数可数名词或不可数名词”连用，而不是与单数可数名词连用 。
